The critically acclaimed, record-breaking, cult-sensation PigPen Theatre Co. spread holiday cheer by lighting their very own "Un-Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree" and marked the occasion with a brief concert -- including their own original Christmas songs. What the tree lacks in size, it more than makes up for in good, old-fashioned merriment.

Pigpen Theatre Co's FATHER HARE Single is Available for Free Download

Today, the critically acclaimed troupe PigPen Theatre Co. released an original Christmas carol titled "Father Hare" for download through the following link: http://pigpentheatreco.bandcamp.com/track/father-hare. PigPen will premiere the carol live tonight at 7:30 PM during their "Un-Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert" at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street, NYC) leading into their performance of The Old Man and the Old Moon, which has been chosen as a Critic's Pick and hailed by The New York Times as "charming and smartly staged…words play second fiddle to the giddy feelings it inspires". PigPen Theatre Co.'s Off-Broadway play with music The Old Man and the Old Moon, hailed as "the best kept secret around that's not going to last for much longer" by The Huffington Post, has announced today that it will extend for the holiday season to January 6, 2013 at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street, NYC). Tickets for all performances can be purchased at www.sohoplayhouse.com. PigPen Theatre Co. Offers Free Tickets to THE OLD MAN AND THE OLD MOON for Displaced Hurricane Victims

The critically acclaimed troupe PigPen Theatre Co. has announced that they will be giving away free tickets to their new play, The Old Man and the Old Moon, to those displaced from their homes due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy. As soon as power is restored to the production's venue, The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street at Washington Square South), the play will resume performances. At each performance, until all tri-state residents are able to safely return to their homes, twenty tickets will be given away to those displaced by the storm. (more...)

Directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on March 28, 2012 and opened April 15, 2012, and is playing at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). The boys of the PigPen Theatre Company visited the production yesterday, and you can check out exclusive backstage photos below!

STAGE TUBE: PigPen Theatre Co. Debuts 'Bremen' Short as Prelude to THE OLD MAN AND THE OLD MOON

The critically acclaimed troupe PigPen Theatre Co. has premiered its first foray into animation with the short film Bremen, which serves as a companion piece and introduction to the epic world of their upcoming Off-Broadway debut production, The Old Man and the Old Moon, a co-production of Britt Lafield/BKL Productions, Soho Playhouse, Inc., Aaron Glick and The PigPen Company. The animated short features music from PigPen's first album, also called Bremen, the same music prominently featured in The Old Man and the Old Moon, which will play The Gym at Judson(243 Thompson Street at Washington Square South) beginning September 26th, with an official opening on October 7th.
