American Idiot's Van Hughes and Hair's Ryan Link will star in Son of a Gun, a contemporary folk rock musical previously developed with the O'Neill Theater Center, Joe's Pub and The Drama League. CABARET FOR A CAUSE Raises Funds for BORN BLUE Tonight, July 15

The Cabaret for a Cause series continues tonight, July 15th. Tickets are a cash donation of your choice at the door to raise money for the new musical Born Blue, which benefits St Jude Children's Research Hospital. The concert takes place at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street Doors open at 8 pm. Plus, show memorabilia will be auctioned off, including items from performances of RENT and Hair. (more...)

Proceeds will go to Shakespeare & Company's internationally-acclaimed Education and Training Programs. Producer and Company member, Deborah Grausman (actor and founder of Berkshire Musical Theater Workshop) has assembled an all-star cast and first-rate creative team for this spectacular, not to be missed, one-night event. Broadway's Chip Zien (Into the Woods-the original Baker, Les Miserables, The Country Girl, People in The Picture, Falsettos, Grand Hotel, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Boys from Syracuse, etc.) will host.
