Manhattan Movement & Arts Center presents the YOUR MOVE! Showcase Series, open to emerging performers and choreographers, on Sunday, October 10 at 6pm; Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 6pm; and Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 6pm at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, 248 W. 60th Street, NYC (between Amsterdam & West End Avenues).

FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY, a musical based on the children's books by Julianne Moore, will open Off-Broadway at New World Stages on October 4. Previews began on September 9. The performances are produced in collaboration with the company's education partners, Marymount Manhattan College and Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, and will feature performances of the acclaimed works: Wolfgang (2005), Hand Dance (2003), Caught (1981), Swing Shift (2003) and Ebben, an excerpt from the dance/rock opera Remember Me (2009).

Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (MMAC) presented the world premiere of Freckleface Strawberry the Musical. The show is an adaptation of the best-selling children's book written by award winning actress Julianne Moore. MMAC Productions, located on the Upper West Side, debuted the musical on July 1st for a two-day workshop run. The first of many MMAC productions, Freckleface is about childhood, acceptance and friendship. The producers will announce a commercial run in the upcoming weeks.
