Raleigh Studios' Chaplin Theater To Host The HOLLYWOOD NETWORKING BREAKFAST, 3/28

The Hollywood Networking Breakfast (HNB) was founded on the Paramount Studios Lot in 1993 by Sandra Lord, as a means to providing opportunities for industry professionals and emerging talent. Paramount Studios served as the event's home base for almost 12 years. Some of the most respected individuals, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, have offered patrons insight and advice. Backstage named the HNB "The Best Networking Event in L.A." in its "Best of LA" issue, a title that has continued to hold true. For the last 19 years the event has hosted Academy, Golden Globe, Peabody and Emmy Award winners and nominees, as well as top Hollywood Studio Heads and Production Company Presidents. HNB benefits Changing Images in America (www.ChangingImagesInAmerica.org) and is proud to announce their next speaker will be Chris Bruss and others from Will Ferrell's company, "FUNNY OR DIE" speaking on their branded entertainment, television and film production divisions. Canadian Stage presents Ignorance, an inventive (and completely adult) puppet documentary about the evolution of happiness from Calgary's world-renonwed Old Trout Puppet Workshop. The newest production from the troupe behind the international hit Famous Puppet Death Scenes stops in Toronto as part of a critically acclaimed Canadian tour from Tuesday, November 27 to Today, December 15 at the Berkeley Street Theatre (26 Berkeley St.). Tony and Emmy Award winner Hugh Jackman was honored by Museum of the Moving Image at its 27th annual Salute last night, December 11, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Jackman wase on hand to accept his Salute, along with Alec Baldwin and Mike Nichols (both past MMI Salutees), Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, Liev Schreiber, Universal's Ron Meyer, Fox's Jim Gianopulos and many of his fellow cast-mates from Les Miserables.

Universal Studios' 100th Anniversary Logo to Make Debut With THE LORAX

As part of Universal Pictures' yearlong Centennial celebration, the studio will reveal an updated animated logo in honor of its 100th anniversary, it was announced today. The new animated logo will make its debut with Universal and Illumination Entertainment's 3D-CG feature Dr. Seuss' THE LORAX, which is being released in theaters nationwide on March 2, and it will be used on all film releases going forward.
