The Actors Fund announced today that Life on the Stage: Conversation and Film, presented by Jacob Burns Film Center in partnership with The Actors Fund, returns with filmmaker and JBFC Board Member Ron Howard on October 13 at 7:30 PM ET in a live virtual conversation about his film Frost/Nixon, moderated by Dori Berinstein.

In a one-of-a-kind, heartfelt tribute to a Hollywood legend, the stars of some of TV and film's most iconic titles, including “Happy Days,” “Laverne & Shirley,” “Mork & Mindy,” “Pretty Woman” and “The Princess Diaries,” come together to celebrate “The Happy Days of Garry Marshall,” airing Tuesday, May 12, on ABC.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that James Lipton, executive producer, writer, and host of the Bravo cable television series Inside the Actors Studio, has died at age 93.

Nickelodeon is setting off into new territory with the greenlight of The Astronauts (working title), a brand-new, live-action series following a group of kids who embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they are mistakenly launched into space. Marking Nickelodeon's first production with Imagine Kids+Family, The Astronauts (10 episodes) is currently in production in Vancouver, Canada, with a premiere slated for this summer.

The Pompano Beach Cultural Center continues the City's celebration of Black History Month with a free evening of music and storytelling with the legendary Dr. Kitty Oliver. An Evening of Jazz and Multicolored Memories features a cabaret performance of inspirational jazz vocals combined with poignant, humorous, revealing reflections from the noted singer, author, historian and race relations expert. Paramount Network today announced that Mark Feuerstein, Kelli Williams, Daniel Mora, Emy Mena, George Pullar, Amy Forsyth, Ross Phillips, Romina D'Ugo, Bobby Daniel Rodriguez, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Jose Pablo Cantillo and Drew Powell are joining the cast of new scripted drama series Coyote, led by Emmy(R) Award-winner Michael Chiklis. Production on the first season of Coyote is underway with the series scheduled to premiere on Paramount Network in Summer 2020.
