THE FANTASTICKS Plays Fiddlehead Theatre, 4/13

A new production of the worlds longest-running musical, The Fantasticks, comes to the Boston area this spring as The Fiddlehead Theatre Company presents the captivating romantic comedy about a boy, a girl, two fathers, and a wall. Based on the tale Les Romanesques by Edmond Rostand, The Fantasticks features music by Harvey Schmidt and a book and lyrics by Tom Jones. The memorable score includes Soon Its Gonna Rain, They Were You and the beloved hit, Try to Remember. The Fantasticks runs from April 13 through 29 at The Fiddlehead Theatre in Dedham, MA. ( more...)

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the fifth production of National Theatre Live's second season - broadcast live from The Donmar Warehouse in London, internationally acclaimed actor Derek Jacobi stars as KING LEAR. KING LEAR will be broadcast on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20 at 2pm at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd. in La Mirada.

As The Prince of Homburg opens at the Donmar, Michael Grandage, the company's Artistic Director announces a major expansion to the run of his forthcoming production of King Lear, which will see the company tour nationally, and will be broadcast to over 22 countries worldwide in collaboration with National Theatre Live. 'Season Your Admiration' HAMLET Recoups on Broadway

The Donmar Warehouse production of Hamlet, starring Jude Law and directed by Michael Grandage, has fully recouped its $2.5 million capitalization costs as of the week ending November 1, officially entering the hit column. The production, which began performances on September 12 and opened October 6, is playing a limited run through Sunday, December 6 only at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). ( more...)

The production, directed by Michael Grandage, earned $904,914, its best week yet at the box office.
