An adaptation of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's journey from an embittered, ungenerous creature into a giving, caring human being at the hands of three spirits, who, one Christmas Eve, show him what life means. The New Group and Vineyard Theatre announce additional casting for Jeremy O. Harris' 'Daddy,' with Tommy Dorfman, Kahyun Kim, Hari Nef, Ronald Peet and Charlayne Woodard joining Alan Cumming, as previously announced, in this world premiere production directed by Danya Taymor. Previews begin February 12 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through March 31 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

Ms. Lantzy comes to Signature from Lincoln Center Theater, where she has worked for more than 12 years.

Signature Theatre will partner with American Theatre, the national magazine for the American professional not-for-profit theatre published by Theatre Communications Group, on a new series of panel discussions covering subject matters relevant to theatre audiences and practitioners. All panels, which are free and open to the public, will take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The Signature Theatre production of Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine, by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner and Residency 1 playwright Lynn Nottage and directed by Obie Award-winner Lileana Blain-Cruz, has been extended by one week to now play through January 6, 2019.

The New York premiere of Ngozi Anyanwu's GOOD GRIEF, directed by Awoye Timpo, will begin performances the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) on Thursday, October 11.  Opening night is set for Tuesday, October 30th.

On Monday, October 1st at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center at 7:30pm, the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical The Band's Visit-including Tony Award winners Tony Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk-presented "The Band Visits Cariani," an evening of scenes from John Cariani's plays.

Theatre East's 2018-19 season kicks off on Friday, September 21, with a celebration of Romulus Linney's masterful play, Holy Ghosts on what would be his 88thBirthday. The play, set in present-day rural Tennessee, a group of broken, Pentecostal outcasts find solace, understanding, and strength in one another as they wrestle with their own serpents and discover their divinity.

Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that Jeremy O. Harris is the recipient of the 2018-19 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award. Mr. Harris will be presented with the award at The Vineyard's annual Emerging Artists Luncheon on Friday, October 12 from noon-2:30pm at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan. Paula Vogel will speak at the event.

Members of the original Broadway cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical, The Band's Visit-including Tony Award winners Katrina Lenk and Tony Shalhoub-will come together for a one-night-only benefit presentation of THE BAND VISITS CARIANI, an evening of scenes from John Cariani's plays. Tony & Olivier Award nominee Moritz Von Stuelpnagel (Hand To God,Present Laughter, Bernhardt/Hamlet) will direct. All proceeds will benefit the Wintergreen Arts Center, in Cariani's hometown of Presque Isle, Maine, which offers arts programs to children and adults in rural northern Maine.
