In response to Woodhead's comments, Australian theatre star Eddie Perfect took to Facebook, saying: 'I agree with Cameron [Woodhead], and I'd add something further. There's a convenient narrative springing up online (and elsewhere) that the creator's of Kong spent five years of developmental resources on the gorilla but neglected the book, music and lyrics. Houston Symphony to Perform ROMEO & JULIET OVERTURE at Miller Outdoor Theatre, 6/28 by BWW News Desk - Jun 14, 2013
On June 28, the Houston Symphony will perform a free concert as part of the ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights series at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The concert will feature the famous Romeo and Juliet Overture by Tchaikovsky, followed by popular works from Mendelssohn and Schumann. Led by American conductor Case Scaglione, the concert will also feature pianist Kuok-Wai Lio. Born in Macau, Kuok-Wai has gained worldwide recognition performing with various orchestras and for multiple festivals and competitions. Kuok-Wai will be making his Houston debut performing Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto in G Minor. (more...)

Suffolk County Community College is pleased to announce that The Long Island Shakespeare Festival will offer free public performances of an abridged version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet during summer 2013. The 13th season performances will be presented, rain or shine, at Suffolk County Community College's Ammerman Campus in Selden.
