Museum of the Moving Image's ongoing series See It Big! presents classic and contemporary films on the big screen in the beautiful Sumner M. Redstone Theater. In November and December, the Museum will showcase 22 films photographed by some of the world's greatest cinematographers, including Gordon Willis, Vittorio Storaro, Vilmos Zsigmond, Nestor Almendros, Raoul Coutard, James Wong Howe, and more. The series, See It Big!: Great Cinematographers, runs from November 8 through December 29, 2013.
EPIX and FEARnet to Present “Maidens of Mayhem” Horror Week, Beginning Today

Let's hear it for the ladies of horror: those evil, tormented women, who have been inhabited by the devil or perhaps chased by a crazed lunatic wielding a deadly chainsaw. Fear not, your nightmares have been answered as EPIX and FEARnet have partnered to present 'Maidens of Mayhem,' a week-long festival of horror films featuring possessed ladies and the men/women and other entities who love them - or want to kill them. The festival begins on FEARnet today, October 14th and moves to EPIX on Thursday, October 17th with a special presentation of the original Carrie (1976) starring Sissy Spacek on the eve of the latest film adaptation of the Stephen King novel, starring Chlo? Grace-Moretz and Julianne Moore. Following the film, EPIX will present a World Premiere sneak peek at the new movie (see full schedule below).
James Wan's INSIDIOUS Among FEARnet's September Highlights

The acclaimed box office smash, INSIDIOUS, will make its FEARnet debut on Sunday, September 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Directed by James Wan (SAW, THE CONJURING), and written by SAW scribe Leigh Whannell, INSIDIOUS stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as Josh and Renai Lambert, parents whose son has fallen into a coma, following a mysterious incident in the attic. Things get much worse for the family, as their son's illness leads to a terrifying encounter with malevolent ghouls, and a journey into the realm of the dead known as 'The Further.' This will be a chance for fans to catch up with the Lambert family and their demons, before INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 2 hits theaters on September 13.
Bay Street Theatre Founder Sybil Christopher Passes Away at 83

Co-founder and artistic director of Bay Street Theatre Sybil Christopher passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013, according to an announcement by the theatre's website. She was 83. Christopher served as artistic director at Bay Street for nearly 22 years until 2012, when she stepped down.
