The Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company will celebrate its 45th Anniversary with performances of works by Eleo Pomare and company artistic director Enrique Cruz DeJesus, November 18 & 19 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, Ninth Avenue & 55th Street. Two company premieres will be included in the program: the world premiere of DeJesus' Mending Minds, and the company premiere of Pomare's 1967 Las Desenamoradas, music by John Coltrane.

The choreopoem 'Snapshots in Transit,' set to close on Sunday, October 29th, has had its last performance on October 22nd due to the sudden illness of a cast member.

SNAPSHOTS IN TRANSIT weaves a rhythmic poetic tapestry of 5 'seasoned' adult characters evaluating and coming to terms with; love, life trials, family upbringing, politics, and honoring one's nationality in often dire and humorous aspects.

THE LOWER EAST SIDE (LES) FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS - one of the most exciting, eclectic and FREE annual festivals in all of New York City - will present a once in a lifetime performance from Broadway legend DAPHNE RUBIN-VEGA at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 23rd. The indispensable Theater for the New City (155 Fist Ave. at 10th St.) is sponsoring the event, which runs all weekend long from May 23rd until May 25th.

Attendees can sample tasty bites from local food vendors while enjoying dance, theater, and music by artists from across the Lower East Side (and beyond!). Duo Multicultural Arts Center (DMAC) is pleased to present MADboots dance co. as part of PRIDE @ DMAC (June 16-22). After an eight-week residency at DMAC this Spring, MADboots Co-artistic Directors Jonathan Campbell and Austin Diaz return to the historic Duo Theater to perform works that wowed the dance community this past May. MADboots will perform on Wednesday, June 19 & Thursday, June 20, 2013, 8PM. Admission is $10.
