Williamstown Theatre Festival Announces Additions of BLOOD PLAY, MY FAIR LEWIS and More in Season Lineup by BWW News Desk - Apr 09, 2013
Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced additions to the Festival's 59th Season, including Blood Play, The Debate Society's off- Broadway hit, which will play the Nikos Stage, August 7 - 18, 2013. It was also announced today that celebrated comedian (and Williamstown Theatre Festival regular) Lewis Black will return to the WTF Main Stage for My Fair Lewis, a one-night-only evening of stand-up, on Monday, July 22, and that the Festival's signature Late-Night Cabaret series - featuring Festival stars in rarely seen cabaret performances - returns to Goodrich Hall, July 11 - 13, July 25 - 27, August 8 - 10 at 10:30 PM. Robert Sean Leonard to Play Atticus Finch in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at Regent's Park by BWW News Desk - Mar 08, 2013
Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced today that Robert Sean Leonard will play Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird, the first production of the 2013 season. The Tony award-winning American actor is best known for playing Dr. James Wilson in the Fox television series House and Neil Perry in the 1989 movie Dead Poets Society. Having frequently performed on and off Broadway since 1986, To Kill a Mockingbird will mark Robert's return to the London stage for the first time in 22 years. Big Noise Theatre Company will present Garson Kanin's Born Yesterday as their 2nd production of the company's 2012-13 season. Performances will be held at the Prairie Lake Theatre from January 18-February 3th, 2013. Catherine Davis returns to direct for the company, with Peter Rasey serving as producer. (more...)

Eine Frau und zwei Männer. Vor zehn Jahren in der High School war Vince mit Amy zusammen, aber dennoch hat Jon auf einer Party, wenn auch betrunken, mit ihr geschlafen. Vince, mittlerweile Mitglied bei der freiwilligen Feuerwehr und Dealer, hat diese Niederlage und den Vertrauensbruch nie verwunden. Jon dreht seit längerem vielversprechende Low-Budget-Filme, Amy arbeitet als Staatsanwältin. Die drei ehemaligen Schulfreunde treffen sich nach Jahren in einem Motel, wo Jon beim örtlichen Filmfestival seinen jüngsten Film präsentiert. Aus dem Treffen wird eine Abrechnung. (more...)

The Old Globe's 100th anniversary production of the George Bernard Shaw classic Pygmalion stars Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard (The Invention of Love, Born Yesterday) as Professor Henry Higgins and Charlotte Parry (The Importance of Being Earnest, The Real Thing) as Eliza Doolittle. The production coincides with the 100th anniversary of Pygmalion's 1913 premiere in Vienna, Austria.
