Horse Trade Management Group will present the 7th Annual FRIGID New York Festival, an open and uncensored theatre festival that gives artists an opportunity to let their ingenuity thrive in a venue that values freedom of expression and artistic determination. In true support of theatre on the fringe of the mainstream, 100% of box office proceeds will go directly to the artists. Boasting over 150 performances and 30 shows over 12 days in 3 theaters, FRIGID New York will kick off the annual North American Fringe Circuit with a bang! (more...)

Dark Prophet Productions will present the New York premiere of Stuck, a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Riley Thomas. Stuck centers on six strangers trapped on a stalled New York City subway who discover they're not so different after all. Vital Theatre Company Presents THE BULLY by BWW News Desk - Feb 23, 2012
Vital Theatre Company will bring back THE BULLY, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, book by David L. Williams, and directed by Linda Ames Key. The show will run Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm beginning January 14th through February 26th, 2012, with weekday school holiday performances on January 16th and 27th and February 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd at 11am and 1pm. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the selections for the 2012 Next Link Project, NYMF's primary writer service program. The Next Link Project empowers emerging musical theatre writing teams as both artists and entrepreneurs by providing the training and relationships needed to help them move their musicals from readings to fully-realized productions and to advance their careers by maximizing the exposure they receive in the Festival. Ten of the Festival's full production slots are reserved for participants in The Next Link Project. (more...)

On Monday, May 30, 2011, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly platform, now in its 4th year, for emerging musical theatre writers at the D-Lounge (at the Daryl Roth Theater). Featured writers for the May 2011 installment include Riley Thomas and Jonathan Larson Award winner Mike Pettry (The Time Traveler's Convention).
