Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff/Artistic Producer) will present three staged readings of "Casanova", a new musical with music by Martin Sylvestri, book and lyrics by Joel Higgins, directed by Gabriel Barre. The readings will take place on Wednesday, February 6th at 6:00pm, and Thursday, February 7th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street. (more...)

STAGE TUBE: Broadway Sings for Pride and TA-DA! Youth Theater Sing 'It Gets Better' by Stage Tube - Jun 12, 2012
On Saturday, May 19, 2012 Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BwayPride.org) in conjunction with the TADA! Youth Theater joined over twenty-five Broadway, Off Broadway, and National Tour performers to remind everyone 'it gets better.' The song, which included TADA!'s Resident Youth Ensemble, was done to promote equality and stop bullying. 'It Gets Better' was written in 2010 by composers, Jay Kuo & Blair Shepard after a string of LGBT suicides across the country. This song will be featured in Broadway Sings for Pride's Second Annual Gay Pride Concert on Monday, June 25, 2012 in Manhattan. For tickets and information, click here. (more...)

Naked Boys Singing!, the outrageous musical comedy that ran off Broadway for thirteen years before closing five weeks ago, is back - bigger and better than ever! New staging, new boys, same costumes. Based on the successful long-running Provincetown production, from Drama Desk nominee Tom D'Angora (NEWSical The Musical) and Michael D'Angora, the show is an hour of non-stop comedy, nudity, dancing, and as the title says, singing! Stars from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and primetime TV are set to appear in "Four Scores and Seven Shows Ago...", a new musical revue by New York theater composer Daniel Lincoln, which will premiere in concert at the Laurie Beechman Theater on May 12 at 9:30pm as a benefit for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids. The evening will include performances by Broadway's Brian Cali ("Master Class") and Michelle Dowdy ("Hairspray"), and television personalities Ryan Raftery ("Ugly Betty," "Law and Order:SVU," "Malcolm in the Middle"), and Sasha Weiss (ABC Primetime's "What Would You Do," "Jerry Springer, The Opera" at Carnegie Hall.) Also performing are Ricky Schroeder ("Naked Boys Singing"), Anne Frasier Thomas ("The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" - US & International Tours), Kyle Kleiboeker (Nat'l Tours: "Hairspray," "Rent"), MAC and BISTRO Award Winning singer and nightlife personality Brandon Cutrell, Jody Cole Wood, Brittany Marie Arnao, and Dimitri Joseph Moise.
