The Twentieth Century was only in its teens when playing Times Square's Palace Theatre was established as the pinnacle of success for vaudeville artists, so it's very appropriate that the latest Broadway offering from THE ILLUSIONISTS, titled TURN OF THE CENTURY, is playing the Palace.

Professional rigger Rocky Paulson, lighting designer Fred Foster, costume designer Liz Covey, sound designer Rick Thomas, scenic designer Santo Loquasto, production stage manager Joseph Drummond, and educator John Conklin will be honored with USITT Distinguished Achievement Awards at USITT's 2017 Annual Conference & Stage Expo in St. Louis March 8-11.

RFD-TV announced the details of its fall 2016 schedule highlighting several new series, new seasons, and returning favorites.

The Fells Point Corner Theater presents The Whipping Man, written by Matthew Lopez, October 14- 30th. The well-known Baltimore director, Barry Feinstein, leads the production, which tells the story of three Richmond Jews-a former Confederate soldier and two of his former slaves. The men are gathered around a makeshift Seder table at the close of the Civil War dealing with age-old questions of justice and freedom and finding new and surprising answers. 

This past weekend was the second in a three week run of Stephen Schwartz's PIPPIN at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre.  The show opened their 2016-2017 season in Le Petit's 100th year, which is something to celebrate in and of itself.  New Orleans is full of history and Le Petit has certainly been a wonderful part of that history for a whole century!  So before I go any further… congratulations to the Le Petit family, and happy 100th birthday!

Next week, FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

'America's Got Talent' triumphant runner-up, The Clairvoyants, will star in THE ILLUSIONISTS - TURN OF THE CENTURY. Fans will be able to see Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass on Broadway this holiday season. Performances begin November 25, 2016 through January 1, 2017.

Producers Simon Painter, Tim Lawson, MagicSpace Entertainment, and Road Show Entertainment LLC just announced that THE ILLUSIONISTS will return to Broadway for the third consecutive holiday season for a limited engagement, playing November 25, 2016 through January 1, 2017, this year at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater (205 W 46th St).

Capturing the grandeur of the early 20th Century with old world showmanship, THE ILLUSIONISTS 1903 transports the audience back to the days of Vaudeville and live stage magic.
