Northrop PAC Selected for Innovation Lab for the Performing Arts, Round 8 by BWW News Desk - Feb 22, 2013
Northrop Performing Arts Center, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Redmoon Theater and The Theater Offensive have been selected to participate in Round 8 of the Innovation Lab for the Performing Arts, an intensive training and immersion program that supports prototyping of innovations at nonprofit theater, dance, jazz and presenting organizations. Designed and managed by EmcArts, the Innovation Lab is funded by a generous $1.6 million grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF). (more...)

The Unicorn Theatre's Christmas show, The Prince and The Pauper is a lively adaptation by Jemma Kennedy of Mark Twain's classic story of confused identities. Set in a Tudor London, a young street urchin Tom Canty has a chance meeting with the heir to the throne, Prince Edward VI and by pure coincidence they find they look almost identical. (more...)

The Unicorn Theatre's Christmas show, The Prince and The Pauper is a lively adaptation by Jemma Kennedy of Mark Twain's classic story of confused identities. Set in a Tudor London, a young street urchin Tom Canty has a chance meeting with the heir to the throne, Prince Edward VI and by pure coincidence they find they look almost identical. (more...)

This fall, Broadway veteran Michael McGurk brings his boyish good looks, award-winning talents and professional experience to Petaluma's Cinnabar Theater for the world premiere of 'So Nice to Come Home To: A World War II Musical.' McGurk plays 2nd Lt. Kenneth Downey, a young American soldier who befriends a middle aged woman determined to become an essential part of America's war effort. (more...)

OPERA America's Opera Conference Set for 6/13-16 in Philadelphia by BWW News Desk - Jun 04, 2012
OPERA America, the national non-profit service organization for opera, is pleased to announce details of Opera Conference 2012: Creative Resurgence, to be held in Philadelphia, PA from June 13-16. Co-hosted by Opera Company of Philadelphia and in association with Opera Volunteers International, this largest annual gathering of opera professionals in North America will convene at venues along the Avenue of the Arts, in the heart of Center City. This marks the second time that the conference is being held in Philadelphia; the city previously hosted in 1997. (more...)

This fabulous art show serves as a prelude on the opening night of Frost/Nixon, by Peter Morgan, "POW" will remain in the WICA lobby until the end of June.
