Glengarry Glen Ross - L.A. Theatre Works records David Mamet's scathingly funny Pulitzer Prize-winning drama about small-time real estate brokers who vie for the hot leads at a Chicago firm selling shoddy properties. Joe Mantegna reprises his Tony Award-winning role as Richard "Ricky" Roma from the original (1984) Broadway production; Gordon Clapp returns with his Tony-nominated portrayal of Dave Moss from the 2005 Broadway revival; and Richard Schiff stars as George Aaronow, the role he played in the most recent, 2012 Broadway production. The L.A. Theatre Works cast also stars Richard Dreyfuss as Shelly Levene, John Getz as James Lingk, Josh Stamberg as John Williamson and Kyle Colerider-Krugh as Baylen. With money, egos and jobs on the line, the cut-throat salesmen will stop at nothing to get their fair share of the American Dream. This gritty story of shifting values in the male-dominated workplace is as potent and exhilarating as ever. All performances will be recorded live in front of an audience (without sets or costumes) to air on L.A. The Deep Throat Sex Scandal, a new play by David Bertolino about the making of the famed, groundbreaking, 1970s pornographic film 'Deep Throat,' and the subsequent controversy surrounding the film, announced yesterday that, due to its overwhelming popularity, it is extending its West Coast Premiere run at the Zephyr Theatre, which opened on January 31, for an additional two weeks, now performing through Sunday, April 14. National Geographic to Adapt Bill O'Reilly's Upcoming Book KILLING JESUS

With the record-breaking success of the National Geographic Channel (NGC) factual drama of Bill O'Reilly's best-selling history 'Killing Lincoln,' NGC President Howard T. Owens announced today that the network will once again join forces with Scott Free Productions to produce a film based on 'Killing Jesus: A History,' the recently announced book from O'Reilly with co-author Martin Dugard, to be published by Henry Holt and Company on Sept. 24, 2013. The announcement comes as the network is also in pre-production on the film adaptation of 'Killing Kennedy,' expected to air globally on National Geographic Channels later this year. (more...)
