Minnesota Orchestra Announces 2019-20 Season Programming

The Wallis Presents 'An Evening With Nathan And Julie Gunn'

American baritone Nathan Gunn and pianist Julie Gunn, partners in life and often on stage, will make their debut at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in an evening of cabaret by iconic composers ranging from Leonard Bernstein and Cole Porter to Billy Joel and Tom Waits.  The evening concert from an eclectic American Songbook joins Bernstein at 100, the worldwide celebration of the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein, one of the most prodigiously talented and successful musicians in American history. An Evening with Nathan and Julie Gunn takes place Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at The Wallis.

New York Premiere of L'AMANT ANONYME Set for 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will welcome the return of the little OPERA theatre of ny with the New York premiere of L'Amant Anonyme, adapted and directed Philip Shneidman from the opera by Chevalier de Saint-Georges, with a libretto by Desfontaines after Mme. de Genlis. Conducted by Elliot Figg with Art Direction by Sanford Biggers, L'Amant Anonyme begins performances on Saturday, March 12 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 20. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday & Saturday at 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Composer Gordon Getty's opera Usher House will receive its United States premiere as part of San Francisco Opera's double bill titled The Fall of the House of Usher in four performances, tonight, December 8 to 13, 2015. The Getty opera, a co-production with Welsh National Opera, will be paired with Robert Orledge's reconstruction of Debussy's uncompleted score, La Chute de la Maison Usher.
