Finalists Named for iTheatrics and SMASH's 'Make a Musical' Contest

iTheatrics' Junior Theater Project has announced the thirty schools nationwide which are finalists for the second phase of "NBC's 'Smash': Make a Musical," a philanthropic initiative sponsored by NBC's new musical drama series "Smash" which creates sustainable musical theater programs in underserved schools nationwide. America may vote for its top ten favorites at makeamusical.org until May 4th, on May 7 the ten winning schools selected to have a full "NBC's 'Smash': Make a Musical" program installed in their school will be announced. IFC Greenlights COMEDY BANG! BANG! for 2012 Original Programming Slate

IFC announced today the greenlight of two new scripted comedy series to join its 2012 original programming slate - COMEDY BANG! BANG! and BUNK (working title). IFC has ordered 10, half-hour episodes of each series to premiere back-to-back in June 2012 as a one-hour original comedy block. ( more...)
