Following Curve's most successful Christmas season on record, with Grease and The Twits entertaining over 65,000 people to date, we are delighted to announce two new Made at Curve productions for Autumn & Winter 2017 : Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black & Christopher Hampton's Sunset Boulevard 16 - 30 September 2017 and Leslie Bricusse's family musical Scrooge 18 November 2017 - 7 January 2018.

Grease is the word! The hit 70s musical returns in 2017 for a UK tour, stopping off in Glasgow on Tuesday 9 May for 11 nights. Tom Parker (The Wanted) will be making his musical theatre debut playing Danny Zuko, Danielle Hope (Over the Rainbow winner) will be playing Sandy, and Louisa Lytton (Strictly Come Dancing, EastEnders) is taking on the role of Rizzo.
Serenbe Playhouse Announces Rebellious Eighth Season

Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant (2015), and having recently produced the most Suzi Bass Award-decorated show of the 2015- 16 season, Miss Saigon, is excited to announce Season 8: A Season of Rebellion. The season includes a spring production of Grease, by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey; and in the summer, a new adaptation of Robin Hood, by Rachel Teagle; Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, and musical theatre favorite, Cabaret, by Joe Masteroff and John Kander and Fred Ebb. A reimagined Sleepy Hollow, adapted by Brian Clowdus, and perennial favorite, The Snow Queen, an adaptation by Rachel Teagle, will round out the calendar year.

Grease is the word! The original West End production of the electrifying musical, Grease, lights up the UK once again as it embarks on a national tour, opening at the Palace Theatre Manchester on Friday 10 March 2017. The cast will be led by international pop star Tom Parker (The Wanted) in his first ever theatrical role, heart-throb Danny Zuko.

The Addams Family topped the list for the most-produced high school musical for the second consecutive year, and Mary Poppins made its list debut at second place, in an annual survey conducted by the Educational Theatre Association's flagship Dramatics magazine.
GREASE at Curve Announces Full Cast

Curve today announces casting for their Christmas production of the hit musical Grease. Dex Lee and Jessica Paul lead the cast as Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski with Keisha Atwell, Darren Bennett, Sophie Camble, Jonny Fines, Courtney George, Luke George, Shobna Gulati, Patrick Harper, Abigayle Honeywill, Sophie Isaacs, Max Jorquera, Sinead Kenny, Nathanael Landskroner, Michael Lin, Martin McCarthy, Sam Murphy, Djalenga Scott, Justin Thomas and Natalie Woods completing the company. The production opens on 1 December, with previews from 26 November, and runs until 14 January.

Today in 2007, the second Broadway revival of Grease opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where it ran for 554 performances. Grease is a 1971 musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The musical is named for the 1950s United States working-class youth subculture known as the greasers. The musical, set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School (loosely based on William Howard Taft School), follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of love, cars, and drive-ins.

Right on the heels of A Chorus Line's final performance last weekend, Grease continues a wonderful summer season at the Playhouse by bringing youthful energy and pizazz to a show that is on almost everyone's list of favorite musicals. This production brings together a rather large cast whose energy and eagerness to present what they have all been working so hard on is evident in the characters they play in the midst of all the hullaballoo and teenage angst that Grease already is.

Nazareth College Department of Theatre and Dance to Present GREASE

The Nazareth College Theatre and Dance Department and Theatre League are pleased to present Grease - the three-time Tony Award-nominated musical about 10 working-class high school seniors, that is as popular today as when it premiered in 1971 - as the fourth and final show in the department's 2015-2016 production season. The show will run for one weekend only: April 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and April 17 at 2 p.m.; in the Callahan Theater at Nazareth College Arts Center.
