Clear Space Theatre Company and James FitzSimmons have announced that Karen Richards is the first recipient of the Rebecca Luker Theatrical Partnership.

A video for “She Has Hope” performed by Brian d’Arcy James and composer Tom Kitt. Produced alongside Project ALS, the video is a beautiful tribute to late Broadway star Rebecca Luker, who passed away from ALS. The video features never-before-seen footage of the Tony-nominated actress as well as videos of other women diagnosed with the disease.

Help Make a Difference! New Jersey’s Jesse Walker, host of the online celebrity show “The Jesse Walker Show,” in support of Project ALS, will join 2-time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye for a special benefit virtual performance of the Broadway musical Nice Work If You Can Get It to honor the love and memory of the late Rebecca Luker.

The University of Montevallo held a dedication ceremony on November 18th for its new Center for the Arts facility. The university unveiled the Rebecca J. Luker Stage in the DiscoverShelby Theatre, named after its alum, the late Rebecca Luker. Luker graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1984.

Originally scheduled back in September, the wait was worth it to hear Laura Benanti sing selections from her roles on Broadway and a few tracks from her 2020 self-titled studio album in her debut Cabaret at the Center which was part uproarious stand-up comedy act, and part beguiling Broadway/Jazz concert. Due to a last-minute scheduling conflict and cast change, the ONE-NIGHT ONLY live virtual special benefit concert originally announced to take place this evening, September 28, 2021, has been RESCHEDULED for Friday evening, December 17, 2021 at 8:00PM (EST).

Peter Benjamin Foley died at home on August 27, 2021, after surviving ocular (uveal) melanoma, a rare cancer, for more than 10 years. He was 54.

The one constant in all Sierra Boggess' roles is a heavenly voice that sounds so effortless it hides the stunning technique that lies beneath.
