Composer Jeff Lederer Puts Out His Two Most Out-of-the-Box Recordings to Date

The recording first is 'SCHOENBERG ON THE BEACH,' a song cycle based on Schoenberg and Webern's early songs, featuring Mary LaRose, Hank Roberts, Patricia Brennan, Michael Formanek, Matt Wilson, and special guest Marty Ehrlich. The second recording is 'LANTERN,' a collection of original compositions performed by Lederer's quartet.

Michael Tilson Thomas Returns to the New York Philharmonic To Conduct MEDITATIONS ON RILKE and Schubert's Symphony No. 9

Michael Tilson Thomas returns to conduct the New York Philharmonic March 9–12 in four concerts, highlighted by the New York premiere of his Meditations on Rilke. Mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke, who premiered and recorded the cycle with Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony in 2019, and bass-baritone Dashon Burton are featured soloists.
