Faye Miller, Bill Young and More Celebrate Barnard Women Through Dance at Miller Theatre, 4/12-13

Brains, spirited beauty and dancing feet, that's what Barnard women are made of. And the choreographers commissioned to create new works for them - Faye Driscoll, Bill Young, Francesca Harper and Heidi Henderson - for two days of performances at the Miller Theatre, tonight, April 12 and tomorrow, April 13, take full advantage of their gifts. The 4th annual VITAL VOX: A VOCAL FESTIVAL-an event that explores the myriad power of the human voice in its solo and ensemble forms across a multitude of genres-will take place at 8pm on October 29 and 30 at Roulette, located at 509 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Tickets are $15 ($10 Students/Seniors/Members) and can be purchased at www.roulette.org or by calling 917-267-0363. As part of its continuing mission to bring the arts into the communities of New York City, and to celebrate New York's rich ethnic and cultural diversity, the Young Patrons of Lincoln Center (YPLC) are hosting a dance party on Thursday, April 29 from 8:30 to 10:00 pm (Doors open at 7:30) at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse.
