Victoria Theatre Association announces a change in cast for its presentation of The Soundtrack of Your Life. Due to scheduling conflicts, Oscar® nominee Lamont Dozier will be replaced by Grammy® award winner Paul Williams. The Soundtrack of Your Life plays April 23, 2011 at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.

The 50th anniversary of the Philles Records label (1961-2011) has arrived. The long-range campaign promise announced in 2009 by Legacy Recordings and EMI Music Publishing, to dig deep into the rich catalog of Phil Spector's 'Wall Of Sound' on Philles, moves ahead with four newly-compiled albums. The quartet of titles will be available at all physical and digital retail outlets starting February 22nd through Phil Spector Records/ Legacy, a division of SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Yesterday evening, Love took the stage of the Nederlander Theatre to join the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET in the special encore. Love has been hailed as one of the greatest singers in pop music starting with her first number one recording, 'He's A Rebel,' through her string of label hits with legendary producer Phil Spector, including 'Da Doo Ron Ron,' 'He's Sure The Boy I'm Gonna Marry,' and 'Christmas Baby Please Come Home.' Love was recently nominated for the third time to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Over ten years, Sound Unseen has established itself as one of the premiere 'films-on-music' festivals in the country and has become a vital part of the Twin Cities cultural scene. The festival is known for the breadth of its multimedia productions, documentaries, rare concert footage, short films, animation, music videos, gallery exhibitions and dozens of live music events showcasing both local and national acts. In partnership with the Southern, the festival will add cinema installation, live music accompaniments to films, and multimedia performance art to its groundbreaking history.
Al Pacino Stars as 'Phil Spector' in New Mamet Film for HBO

The New York Times reports today that MERCHANT OF VENICE star Al Pacino will star in a new movie from HBO about Phil Spector, the famed music producer who is not in prison (possibly for life) on murder charges. David Mamet will write the script for the as-of-yet-untitled project. Rain Man director, Barry Levinson, is executive producing.
