The Monkees - Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork plus band will be reuniting for 12 concert dates across the country between November 8 and December 2, it was announced via facebook by Monkees Tour and Michael Nesmith.

Billboard.com reports that a private funeral service was held yesterday, March 7th, for the late singer Davy Jones near his home in Florida.

According to People.com, Monkees lead singer Davy Jones, who died suddenly of a heart attack on February 29th at age 66 will be cremated. The musician's rep confirmed the cremation and shared that memorial plans for the entertainer have not yet been finalized.

As we remember Davy Jones, who went from Broadway supporting player to nationally known pop idol and then returned to the musical stage as an above-the-title star, we look forward to seeing Ricky Martin accomplish the same feat.

Monkees band members and long-time friends Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz have responded to the sad news of singer Davy Jones passing yesterday at age 66. Jones suffered a heart attack in his hometown of Florida.

TMZ reports that Davy Jones, lead singer of the popular Biritsh invasion band, Monkees, has passed away of a heart attack this morning, February 29, at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida. He was 66 years old.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mickie Dolenz and Peter Tork will be unable to join us in performance as The Monkees on September 7th at bergenPAC in Englewood, New Jersey. David Cassidy of the Patridge Family will join Davy Jones.
