As reported on Broadwayworld.com and elsewhere in December 2017, the New York City Ballet Board of Directors appointed an interim artistic team in the wake of the leave of absence and subsequent resignation of longtime NYCB Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins following accusations against him of sexual harassment.

L'Académie of Dance is proud to announce the appointment of Ballet Master and Artistic Director, Sean Musselman. Musselman studied at The School of American Ballet in New York City. There he had the rare opportunity to work under the legendary George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins (of the Broadway classic West Side Story fame) and with the Russian superstar Danseur Rudolph Nureyev.

On Saturday evening, October 14, 2017, at the David H. Koch Theater, I saw a performance by NYCB including five contemporary pieces choreographed by four members of NYCB and the fifth who had trained at SAB (School of American Ballet, the official school of NYCB).
