Acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke presented CURE Childhood Cancer with a donation of $50,000 at their seventh-annual “Brothers and Sisters Holiday Homecoming Show” over Thanksgiving weekend in Atlanta. Over the past six years, Blackberry Smoke has raised more than $400,000 to benefit children's cancer research through a variety of “Brothers and Sisters” events such as the Holiday Homecoming shows, the “Brothers and Sisters Reunion Weekend” in Maryville, TN and their recent Ride For CURE event hosted by Tom Glavine, which included more than 500 motorcycle riders participating in a ride to raise critical funds for CURE.

Acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke will release their new project Homecoming: Live In Atlanta—a new live album and concert film—on November 15. Recorded at their annual “Brothers and Sisters Holiday Homecoming” show at Atlanta's Tabernacle last November, both the album and film, which was directed by Lagan Sebert and Ted Roach, are now available for pre-order. Christian Rodrigo first professional theater project was as an Assistant Director of John Malkovich in 2003 and 2004 when he directed the play Hysteria in Barcelona and Madrid. The Spanish actor, producer, director and member of The Actors' Gang credits include Snatch (Season 2), No Way Out, Wings and Stevie. Perhaps his most noteworthy artistic creation is The BRISK FESTIVAL, which he created in Los Angeles in 2018 as an international theater Festival that features short plays up to 10 min long, giving all involved the opportunity to experience what makes live theater so special, namely the human interaction between the players on stage and between actors and audience members.

Blackberry Smoke will embark on their extensive “Till The Wheels Fall Off” headline tour this fall with stops at Asheville's Orange Peel Outdoor Concert Series, Madison's The Sylvee, St. Paul's Palace Theatre, Birmingham's Avondale Brewing Company and Savannah's Johnny Mercer Theater among several others. Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Rebel Wilson has withdrawn from Sydney Theatre Company's production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. New casting for the Martin McDonagh comedy will be announced in the coming weeks.

Blackberry Smoke performed on last night's episode of “Last Call with Carson Daly.” The segment was filmed live at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and featured the band performing two songs: “Waiting For The Thunder” (watch/share here) and “Medicate My Mind” (watch here).  

Blackberry Smoke will perform a series of stripped down shows this spring as part of their “Break It Down Tour,” the band's first-ever acoustic tour. The tour, featuring Ida Mae, includes a stop in Easton at the State Theatre on Friday, April 5th.

Following the tremendous success of her adaptation of Ruth Park's The Harp in the South in 2018, Kate Mulvany will work her magic on Fredrich Schiller's Mary Stuart in 2019, with Caroline Brazier and Helen Thomson playing two of history's most intriguing women - Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I of England, now directed by Lee Lewis. Imara Savage has had to withdraw as director due to scheduling conflicts.

Tedeschi Trucks Band's increasingly successful Wheels of Soul tour returns to the road in 2019, for one of the most anticipated concert events of the summer. The five-week slate of 24 shows concludes with two nights at the famed Fox Theatre on August 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta.
