Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) presents the 3rd show of its 21st season, SKIN TIGHT. In 2004, Laura Gordon had her first professional directorial debut with SKIN TIGHT, produced by Renaissance Theaterworks. 'We're ecstatic, ten years later, Laura and the original cast are returning to remount this poetic love story. I literally cannot wait to see it again' shares Suzan Fete, RTW's Artistic Director. Opening night is Saturday, April 5th at 8:00 pm.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) launches today its 2013 citywide tour of Chicago Park District neighborhood parks at Eckhart Park (1330 West Chicago Avenue), following two preview performances at Navy Pier's Gateway Park. The Comedy of Errors, this summer's Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks production, is touring FREE FOR ALL to neighborhood parks across Chicago, now through August 25, 2013. Chicago Shakespeare Theater, the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District and leaders of Chicago's corporate community have partnered to expand the Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks program, after its inaugural success in 2012. This summer, Chicagoans will have direct access to their City's cultural resources with a choice of 26 free Shakespeare performances presented in 18 different neighborhood parks.

During the pre-talk of the opening night production of THE MOUSETRAP, William Fee, Great Lakes Theatre's Producing Artistic Director, shared that when the company was designing the 2011-2012 season, they wanted to add a different dimension to their offerings. The show selected had to take a diverse approach to the usual offerings, but retain the theatre's classic tradition.

A busy month has produced a number of outstanding options for theatre-goers in St. Louis, and even when the weather is as variable as has been over the last few weeks, there's no denying the appeal of watching a fine production of Shakespeare in Forest Park, especially when it doesn't cost you one thin dime to attend (not counting the gas it may take you to get there). Shakespeare Festival St. Louis shrewdly (if you'll pardon the pun) re-imagines one of the Bard's works, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, with sets, costumes and a Cadillac straight out of the 1950's, and it works like a charm.

Shakespeare Festival St. Louis has announced the cast of its May 25-June 19 production, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. 'Once again the Festival has attracted top-tier talent from across the country, and we are in for a fantastic season,' says Executive Director Rick Dildine. As previously announced Sean Graney will direct the production with a design team that includes Scott C. Neale (Scenic Designer), Alison Siple (Costume Designer), John Wylie (Lighting Designer) and Robin Weatherall (Sound Designer).
