Jason Held To Step Down as AFT Executive Director by BWW News Desk - Jan 31, 2013
The Board of Directors of About Face Theatre Company has announced that Executive Director Jason Held will be stepping down at the end January to pursue a position with Playworks Chicago. Held, who has served since 2010, will remain with the company on the Board of Directors. The AFT Board has named Jonathan (Jonny) Stacks Interim Executive Director as it launches a search for a new Executive Director. (more...)

BARE Announces 30 Under 30 Initiative by BWW News Desk - Dec 14, 2012
Award-winning producers Randy Taradash, Paul Boskind and Martian Entertainment, and Gregory Rae have announced that the new production of BARE will offer $30 tickets to anyone under the age of 30, 30 minutes prior to curtain on the day of the performance only. Available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, those with valid IDs can purchase up to 2 tickets for best available seating from the box office at New World Stages. Credit cards and cash will be accepted for the 30 under 30 program, and tickets are based upon availability. General rush tickets are still available on the day of performance only at the box office, with a limit of 2 per person. Only cash will be accepted for general rush tickets, which are valid for the 18 tickets in the front row. (more...)

Speaking on behalf of the producers of the new musical BARE, Paul Boskind, who is organizing the series, is proud to announce that the show will host post-performance TalkOUTs throughout the run of the show. Beginning with the first preview, audiences at select performances will be invited to stay after the show to participate in a discussion with some of the foremost leaders in the fight for LGBT equality. These special guests will include Judy Shepard (Matthew Shepard Foundation), The Clementi Family (Tyler Clementi Foundation), Chuck Wolfe (The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund), Hudson Taylor (Athlete Ally), Mitchell Gold (Faith in America), Travis Wall (choreographer of BARE, "So You Think You Can Dance") and cast members of BARE.
