This week, we are taking a listen to the sparkling new cast recording of the hit 2009 Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim & Hugh Wheeler's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. While tickets are hard to come by due to the star-wattage on display each night at the Martin Beck, Tommy Krasker & Co. at PS Classics have given us an embarrassment of riches with this near-note-complete, 2-disc recording of the Sondheim masterpiece.

Stars of Daytime TV and Broadway came out in full force at last week's concert series of 'Queen Bea: A Soapsical!' at the Laurie Beechman Theater in Manhattan, which ran Tuesday to Saturday. The hilarious new musical comedy, set backstage at a fictitious soap opera, lovingly parodied the ‘soap' world through a combination of witty industry references, a bouncy musical score, and a zany cast of characters played by real-life soap stars.

The No Frills Company's acclaimed production of 'VITA & VIRGINIA', starring KATHLEEN CHALFANT (WIT, ANGELS IN AMERICA) and PATRICIA ELLIOTT (One Life to Live, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, THE SHADOW BOX) will end its limited engagement at The Zipper Factory Theater, 336 West 37th Street, on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 7 PM. Pamela Berlin directed the play Eileen Atkins adapted from the correspondence between writers Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West.
