The cast of Broadway's First Date, the critically acclaimed new musical comedy starring Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez, celebrates the release of their Original Broadway Cast Album with a one night only cabaret at Broadway's nightclub, 54 BELOW, tonight, October 15, 2013 at 9:30 PM.

The Orpheum Theatre announced that its 35th Annual Auction will take place on Saturday, November 16. The auction, which is the organization's largest and most anticipated fundraising event of the year, will kick off a year-long celebration of the Orpheum's 85th Anniversary.

The original Broadway cast recording of FIRST DATE, the critically acclaimed new musical comedy starring Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez, with music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, will be released digitally and exclusively available at the Longacre Theatre today, September 24, 2013. Executive produced by Altar Identity Studios the CD, released by Yellow Sound Label, will be available in stores and everywhere music is sold Tuesday, October 15, 2013. With a book by Austin Winsberg, FIRST DATE is directed by Bill Berry, has a musical staging by Josh Rhodes, with orchestrations by August Eriksmoen and musical supervision, vocal and incidental arrangements by Dominick Amendum. The album debuted at number 1 on the iTunes soundtrack chart.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Operation Smile. Zachary Levi is a longtime supporter and Smile Ambassador for the organization, which provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe.

The Orpheum Theatre, which is operated by its parent organization, the Memphis Development Foundation (MDF), proudly announces that three new members have been added to its Board of Directors: Dr. Scott Morris, Mark Barry, and Robin Orgel.

Plans are underway for the Orpheum Theatre's 85th Anniversary this fall, and citizens of the Mid-South are being called upon to share Orpheum memorabilia, pictures, and personal stories for an exhibition celebrating the Theatre's history and contribution to the local community since it was built in 1928. Memorabilia items may be loaned or sold to the theatre.

Step back in time to the Roaring '20s as The Orpheum Theatre kicks off its 85th Anniversary Summer Movie Series with Buster Keaton's silent comedy classic, THE CAMERAMAN on Friday, June 7 at 7:00 PM. Pre-movie events include Happy Half-Hour drink specials from 6:00 to 6:30 PM immediately followed by "Behind the Screen with Indie Memphis."

The Orpheum Theatre announced its much-anticipated 2013 Summer Movie Series on May 1. This year's series, presented for a second year by Orion Federal Credit Union, will commemorate the theatre's 85th Anniversary with the best-loved films of the past eight decades. The series will run from June to August at the Orpheum Theatre.
