Wyvern Theatre Announces AVENUE Q & More for Spring-Summer Programme
by BWW News Desk - Feb 15, 2012

The Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, has launched its programme for the Spring-Summer season. Tony Award winning musical theatre will be represented in puppet-form by Avenue Q, while Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry will present an imaginative staging of J B Priestly’s An Inspector Calls. After a six year absence from the stand-up circuit, Jack Dee will make his way to the Wyvern to road-test new material for his 2012 tour, and Ken Dodd will bring his Happiness show to Swindon in August. STAGE TUBE: Jesse Tyler Ferguson on His Emmy Nomination
by BroadwayWorld TV - Jul 15, 2011

Waves of good and bad news washed over tonight's "So You Think You Can Dance" as host Cat Deeley and the show basked in the glow of the eight Emmy nominations that were announced earlier today. However, there were several gray clouds hovering about as two more dancers were sent home and, for the first time this season, the eliminated dancers were not part of the same pair. Another bit of sad news came when Judge/Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe announced early in the show that Season 7 fan favorite Alex Wong, who had to step out of competition last year due to a tendon injury on his right foot, suffered another tendon injury (this time on his left foot) this past weekend and would not be able to return to the show as an All-Star next week. by Michael L. Quintos - Jun 03, 2011

Let me just say this right off the bat... BURN THE FLOOR is quite possibly the most entertained I have ever been at a dance-centric stage show. From its electric start to its rousingly gangbusters finalé, the show truly lives up to its scorching name. Direct from its Broadway berth, the tour is now calling the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa its temporary dance home for the next two weeks through June 12. (more...)

Burn the Floor Ignites @ the Pantages
by Don Grigware - Apr 28, 2011

Although an avid fan of dancing, I have never considered myself an expert. Hardly. But...I know when I am moved, moved to the brink...and Jason Gilkison's dance spectacular Burn the Floor, now on tour and at the Pantages until Sunday May 8 only, has enough vitality and style to keep audiences jumping for joy. Yes, there are many similar dance shows, but this one's definitive! (more...)
