Ed Sheeran's Performance at Delta T4X to Air on Fuse, 5/23

Fuse, the national music television network of The Madison Square Garden Company, announced that it will air a 30-minute performance from Ed Sheeran, taking place live and commercial-free on Thursday, May 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET from Delta's T4X pop-up experience. Hosted by Delta and introduced by Fuse's Yasmine Richard, this special concert celebrates the airline's new state-of-the-art Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), which officially opens the next day, Friday, May 24. (more...)

The Recording Industry Association of America Adds Digital Streaming to Gold & Platinum Standards

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) today announced the integration of streams to its historic Gold & Platinum (G&P) Program, the industry's premier award for recognizing artistic achievement in the marketplace. On-demand audio and/or video song streams will now be counted towards the 500,000 (Gold), 1,000,000 (Platinum) and 2,000,000 plus (multi-Platinum) thresholds required for G&P's Digital Single Award certification. The Piano Guys: Hailing from Utah, The Piano Guys became an Internet sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They've made 35 since joining forces a little more than a year ago, including their most recent hit video, an innovative 10-handed version of One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful." But it's the Guys' highly original blend of classical music with pop that has really been the cause of an Internet phenomenon that has now brought them to their major label debut album, The Piano Guys, to be released on Sony Masterworks on October 2nd, 2012. The album features more of the imaginative mash-up arrangements that The Piano Guys are already famous for, including sources ranging from Michael Jackson to Mozart, The Bourne Identity to David Guetta.
