Tuesday 15th March marks the 60th Anniversary of MY FAIR LADY's opening night on Broadway in 1956.  To celebrate the anniversary, producers Opera Australia and John Frost announced a release of new tickets to the Sydney season.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts welcomes The Joffrey Ballet (#JoffreyKenCen) for seven performances of Robert Joffrey's THE NUTCRACKER in the Kennedy Center Opera House, this weekend, November 25-29, 2015. The Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra will accompany all performances.

Tickets for the 60th Anniversary production of Lerner and Loewe's masterpiece MY FAIR LADY go on sale today 21 November. MY FAIR LADY will play at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House, from 30 August, 2016 for a strictly limited season. This new production, which recreates the original 1956 Broadway production, will be directed by the actress who created the role of Eliza Doolittle in the original production, the world-renowned actor and director Dame Julie Andrews.

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's MY FAIR LADY and the 60th Anniversary of Opera Australia, Opera Australia and The Gordon Frost Organisation are collaborating to recreate the original production Broadway production.  Multiple Award Winning star of stage and screen, Dame Julie Andrews, the first Eliza Doolittle, will share her knowledge with a new generation of performers as she directs this production.  Andrews was joined by Opera Australia's CEO Craig Hassell, Artistic Director Lyndon Terrancini AM, The Gordon Frost Organisation Managing Director John Frost AM and NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres to give the media an insight into what audiences can when the show opens at the Sydney Opera House on 30 August 2016.

Los Angeles is in for a treat next month! Tony and Grammy-winner Audra McDonald comes to the Hollywood Bowl to sing classics from Broadway and the American Songbook with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under the direction of Bramwell Tovey, Tuesday and Thursday, September 1 and 3, at 8 pm. Audiences on both nights will be entertained by McDonald singing famous tunes by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Mancini and Mercer, and others. The evenings also feature gifted American Ballet Theatre dancers on stage to bring Bernstein's Fancy Free to life performing Jerome Robbins' 1944 choreography.

West Side Story opens the fifth season of productions for Spinning Tree Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri, running August 20 through September 5. The musical production will be staged at The Arts Asylum located at 1000 E. 9th Street in Kansas City. The Arts Asylum was established to provide assistance, studio, and gallery space for a variety of artists.

43rd season to feature the return of audience favorites Emergence, Roméo et Juliette, and Coppélia. Other highlights include works by Christopher Wheeldon, Jerome Robbins, and Twyla Tharp, and PNB premieres by Alejandro Cerrudo, Jessica Lang and Justin Peck. ABT's 75th Anniversary Gala, a balletomane's dream of a performance on May 18th 2015 at the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center, treated the nearly sold-out audience to a joyous celebration in dance and archival images of the American Ballet Theatre's seven-and-a-half decade reign as 'America's National Ballet Company'. That designation became official with an act of Congress on April 27th 2006, but the troupe founded by Richard Pleasant with Lucia Chase and Oliver Smith as Co-Directors in 1940 had embraced the ethos of this country right from the start.
