Regional Opera Company of the Week: Opera Company of Philadelphia by Scott Frost - Jan 24, 2013
Opera Company of Philadelphia (OCP) has been opening its doors since 1975 when it committed itself to delivering outstanding productions of both traditional repertoire and new operatic works. The company assembles the finest international artists to educate, deepen and diversify the opera audience in the greater Philadelphia area. The company produces both large scale and more intimate chamber performances at the Academy of Music and in the Perelman Theater respectively. In addition to these two spaces the company frequently performs throughout the community. The OCP is so committed to new works that the General Directors David B Devan, OCP launched in 2011 the American Repertoire Program to produce a new American work in each of the next ten seasons as well as the nation's first collaborative Composer In Residence Program with New York's Gotham Chamber Opera and Music-Theatre Group. Sandi Patty and Jason Crabb's Benefit Concert Helps Hurricane Victims Tonight by BWW News Desk - Nov 24, 2012
Like most everyone in the United States, Sandi Patty and Jason Crabb watched as Hurricane Sandy ripped through many areas wreaking havoc and devastation on communities in the path of the storm. One of the hardest hit areas was the New York area. Sandi and Jason are deeply saddened by the affects of Hurricane Sandy in the NYC / NJ area and are reaching out to help in their own special way. Teaming up with Calvary Baptist Church and in partnership with World Vision, Sandi Patty and Jason Crabb will bring their holiday tour, "A Christmas Celebration," to New York City for a special benefit performance tonight, November 24th. All proceeds to be given to World Vision for their relief efforts in the NY and NJ area to aid those still in need from the devastating results of Hurricane Sandy. (more...)

Weiner's 'No Tree No Branch' Now on Display at Jewish Museum by BWW News Desk - Mar 16, 2012
The Jewish Museum has just put on display in its lobby a new work by Lawrence Weiner, NO TREE NO BRANCH (2011/12). This large-scale drawing, presented directly on the museum wall in adhesive vinyl, is on public view in New York for the first time. Bravo's THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY Season Two Premiere Scores Record Ratings by TV News Desk - May 04, 2010
'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' season two premiere drove record ratings for Bravo delivering the highest rated Monday night telecast ever in network history, according to Nielsen Media Research. The Jersey drama delivered 1.64 million adults 18-49 and 2.33 million total viewers, up 30 percent and 36 percent respectively versus season one. (more...)
