Image Entertainment Picks Up TOKAREV Starring Nicolas Cage

Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, has acquired all US and Canadian rights to Hannibal Classics' new action-thriller Tokarev, starring Nicolas Cage. Tokarev (working title) is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2014. The deal was announced today by Image Entertainment's Chief Acquisitions Officer, Bill Bromiley. (more...)

Michael Bay Recants, Apologizes for ARMAGEDDON

Michael Bay isn't known for being particularly apologetic - about anything. If there's one film he's sorry about making, it's 1998's ARMAGEDDON, starring Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, and Billy Bob Thornton. Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson's Epic Pictures Group is expanding its film production and finance operations with the hiring of John Short as V.P. of International Sales. The hiring marks Ewald and Berenson's commitment to focus on Epic's original productions, while Short will oversee day-to-day operations for the company's successful foreign sales business.
