As a new UK tour of THE PITMEN PAINTERS is announced, the cast had an opportunity during rehearsals to visit the Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland, where the original works of the Ashington Group are displayed, including a newly displayed work by Jimmy Floyd, who appears in the play as one of the main characters. Originally produced by Newcastle's acclaimed Live Theatre, and following sell-out seasons at the National Theatre, on Broadway and in the West End, Bill Kenwright presents the award winning play THE PITMEN PAINTERS, as it embarks on a new national tour in the spring of 2013.

Casting has been announced for Alan Plater's CLOSE THE COALHOUSE DOOR, which is being revived by Northern Stage and Live Theatre in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Directed by Samuel West, with additional material by Lee Hall, the production will open at Northern Stage on Wednesday 18 April, with previews from Friday 13 April and will then tour the UK until June 2012.

Josie Rourke's production of William Shakespeare's timeless comedy Much Ado About Nothing starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate will complete its run at the Wyndham's Theatre on 3 September 2011, as previously scheduled. Breaking all Wyndham's Box Office records, Much Ado About Nothing has sold out its entire run and recouped within a few weeks of opening.
