Lisa Yaeger's brand new show JERSEY GIRL will debut at the Metropolitan Room Friday, June 2nd and Wednesday, June 21st, both at 7pm. JERSEY GIRL is a musical celebration of Lisa's home state with songs written, performed, and even arranged by some of the greats who all grew up in NJ.

Gabrielle Stravelli - the celebrated pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter called an "outstanding singer" by The Wall Street Journal and "hotter than the equator" by The Village Voice - will celebrate her recent album Dream Ago at Pangea (178 Second Avenue in New York) on Friday, June 9 at 7:00 PM.

These beautiful ladies have a one.of.a.kind approach laden with pizazz and gusto that takes a contemporary song and transports it back to a time when storytelling wasn't storytelling unless it poked fun at men, at seduction, at romance, at love...in both its sound and its meaning!

The McCallum Theatre presents "Salute to Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall" on Monday, March 6, at 8:00pm. The performance features the Benny Goodman Tribute Orchestra with 18 of the country's top musicians, conducted by Terry Myers, and with Special Guest Vocalist Nancy Osborne. Relive the legendary concert that made Benny Goodman the most celebrated jazz bandleader of his day. Leading a band of musicians including Harry James, Ziggy Elman, Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson, Lionel Hampton, Johnny Hodges and Count Basie, Benny Goodman played music ranging from "Honeysuckle Rose" to "Sing, Sing, Sing." We re-create that night in 1938 with today's best musicians.

Luther Burbank Center for the Artsand the Santa Rosa Symphony present a special holiday treat as a part of the2016-2017 Symphony Pops Series on Sunday, December 11 at 3 p.m. with A Charlie Brown Christmas Concert. Quickly becoming a favorite on everyone's holiday “must-do” list, this festive afternoon concert features songs from the 1965 classic “Peanuts” animated special as well as other traditional Christmas favorites.  Special guest pianist and Steinway Artist Jim Martinez, along with his Quartet, join the Santa Rosa Symphony under the baton of Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz in paying tribute to famous Snoopy songs, with music written or arranged by Vince Guaraldi.

I once fell in love with an album cover: Barbra Streisand, dressed in the height of granny chic, in a straw hat, drapey black cardigan and maxi skirt, and men's-style oxfords with rakish white socks...a desolate stage littered with sheet music...a rich burgundy-and-black color scheme. I first discovered Sondheim through that 1985 record, 'The Broadway Album,' and I still can't hear 'Pretty Women' without thinking of Streisand's sinuous interpretation. Her political activism has become part of her shtick, and her recent live performance of a 'Send in the Clowns' parody mocking Donald Trump has become a popular clip online. She is, for lack of a less battered word, an icon, and fans thrilled to see her-as always, dressed for the occasion-hand the Tony for Best Musical to 'Hamilton' this year.
