General Director and CEO Deborah Sandler Kemper has announced the commission of two operas created to be presented in community spaces where audiences of all ages gather. The Haberdasher Prince by the twin-sister creative team of composer Rosabella Gregory and librettist Dina Gregory will premiere in April 2024. Maya and the Magic Ring by composer Lori Laitman and librettist Dana Gioia will premiere in spring 2025.

New York Festival of Song has revealed its 2023-24 season of performances, including four Mainstage Series programs at Merkin Hall, co-presented with Kaufman Music Center.

Renowned clarinetist Thomas Piercy will be showcasing the remarkable compositions of women artists in a special program of music by members of the New York Women Composers (NYWC) organization. The highly anticipated event will take place on June 27 at the National Opera Center's Scorca Hall. Piercy will be joined on stage with cellist Daniel Hass and pianist Tengku Irfan, promising an evening of musical excellence and diversity.

Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival marks its 40th summer season in 2023. Long Island's longest-running classical music festival celebrates this milestone with 11 concerts, July 16 – August 13, that showcase a theme of “Beethoven as Innovator” alongside six of the festival's favorite works from four decades of commissioning new music: pieces by Elizabeth Brown, Kenji Bunch, Eric Ewazen, Bruce MacCombie, Kevin Puts, and Ned Rorem.

In support of NYFOS's 35th season, the gala features a performance of songs by Laura Nyro, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell and the Beatles, along with some Motown hits.
