L’IL ABNER, SITTING PRETTY & More Set for Musicals Tonight! 2012; Schedule Announced

Musicals Tonight!, now in its 14th Season, is a not-for-profit theatre company in New York City primarily dedicated to the revival of "neglected" musicals. Since their inception in 1997, they have revived well over 65 musicals in staged concert form from such greats as Cole Porter, George & Ira Gershwin, and Rodgers & Hart. The Gallery Players has announced cast and crew for the first New York City revival ofA Man of No Importance. The Gallery Players has reunited the creative team of last seasonÂ’s 4-time NYIT Award winning revival of The Drowsy Chaperone for their first production of 2012. Directed by Hans Freidrichs and produced by Robert Earle Jones, A Man of No Importance opens at The Gallery Players Saturday January 28. ( more...)

Only Charles Strouse and Mel Brooks can mix Physics and Football and get musical comedy. Their 1961 show All American takes place at a college known more for its football team than its Physics Department but Dean Hawkes-Bullock (Kate Marilley) changes all that by hiring Professor Fodorski (Matt Wilson) from Vienna.
