Berkeley Symphony has announced its 2023-24 Season, led by Music Director Joseph Young, who is now in his fifth season with the historic organization. With four Symphonic Series performances and five Chamber Series performances, Berkeley Symphony will present a range of impactful programming that spans the expansive catalog of orchestral music.

California Symphony announces the World Premiere of the third and final commission for California Symphony by Young American Composer-in-Residence Viet Cuong (2020-2023) will be a piano concerto (title TBD), to be performed May 20–21, 2023 in Fresh Inspirations, the orchestra's momentous season finale concert. It was further announced this new work will feature nationally acclaimed pianist Sarah Cahill as the guest soloist.

14-year-old Omaha Composer Will Have Omaha Symphony Masterworks Debut and a World Premiere

14 year old composer Winston Schneider will have his Omaha Symphony Masterworks Debut and a World Premiere for 'Anniversary Orchestra' on September 23 and 24th. This commissioned new work celebrates 50 years of programming for Omaha's classical music station, KVNO. It will be performed at the 'Elgar and Bolero' concert, and conducted by Maestro Ankush Kumar Bahl.
