A dependable haven for artists in isolation, Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is now into its second year of non-stop weekly Community Gatherings this Friday, having offered to date nearly 150 conversations and unlimited camaraderie since April 17, 2020.
Women are the spark that has fueled the Civil Rights movement decades upon decades and Crossroad Theatre Company is honoring the sheroes from the past up through today with a conversation on Black Women in the Movement streaming March 24 – April 4, 2021 on the Home with Crossroads virtual platform accessible from the Crossroads website.
The Hub City Jazz Festival and Gerald Veasley's Unscripted Jazz along with The Zimmerli Art Museum and Rutgers University have created a partnership that will present a series of live jazz performances. International jazz greats will be featured along with talented student musicians from the Mason Gross School of The Arts Jazz Department.
The Hub City Jazz Festival, a multi-day and multi-venue gathering of jazz enthusiasts from the tri-state area, will take place in downtown New Brunswick October 25-28. The Festival will feature national and international jazz musicians as well as renowned local talent. Since its inception in 2004 the Festival has included some of the top names in jazz including Boney James, Jonathan Butler, Incognito, and Maysa.
