Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater will celebrate 15 years of Summer Classic Movies when the annual series begins June 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic 1925 auditorium. Enjoy classic movies in the beautifully restored historic theater Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. June through August. Tickets for each film are just $8 and are on sale now. Advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

This legitimate Broadway Baby and veteran of TV and Film makes her solo debut at Broadway’s living room. Sharon will share showbiz stories and soar through a stellar musical journey of her career, singing songs from her roles in Caroline, or Change; Jekyll and Hyde; Dreamgirls; Rent; and The Wiz; as well as some of her original tunes. 

The film also stars Stephen Bogardus, Alex Breaux and Dan Bittner. The film is co-directed by Roger Mancusi, in his directorial debut, and Katie Schiller, both of whom previously collaborated on the indie darling and Gotham Award-nominated SHIVA BABY. The film is based on the short story “Columbarium,” by Nicholas Mancusi.

CHICKEN & BISCUITS, the new comedy written by Douglas Lyons and directed by Zhailon Levingston, made its Broadway debut just last night, October 10, at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street.) The limited engagement runs through Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Robert Battle, Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, announced today that internationally renowned performer, choreographer, director, and multi-disciplinary artist Francesca Harper has been appointed Artistic Director of Ailey II, the Ailey organization's acclaimed company of young dancers. Ms. Harper will assume her duties on September 7, 2021, and will immediately begin preparing for Ailey II's return to the stage.

Touching on the often overwhelming pressure of modern society and the yearning for inner calm within freedom, the accompanying music video highlights the uplifting themes of liberation and discovery that are woven into the lyrics, following three tethered souls as they transition from distance and isolation into unity and connection.
