Radcliffe commented: 'I think to a lot of people it's a slightly confusing choice, but I like that. I was going: ‘O.K., yeah, I'll do dance lessons, fine. But you are swimming against the tide here, Mr. Ashford.' '

Virginia's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre, through its groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project (AMVP), announces the world premiere of the musical comedy And the Curtain Rises (formerly known as Wheatley's Folly). Beginning performances on Thursday, March 17, 2011, And the Curtain Rises marks the third production presented as part of Signature's AMVP, the largest commissioning program for new musicals in the country, following Michael John LaChiusa's Giant in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon's Sycamore Trees last year. The Washington Post has said that 'Signature's AMVP is the most ambitious embrace of new musical theater in the DC region.'

Will Finch's unorthodox business practices at the World-Wide Wicket Company get him in hot water with the head honcho J.B. Biggley, and jeopardize his romance with secretary Rosemary Pilkington? HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING will open Sunday, March 27. The biggest Broadway event of 1937 was undoubtedly the gala opening night of I'd Rather Be Right.  Not only did the new musical boast a score by Richard Rodger and Lorenz Hart and a book by George S. In honor of the show's 100th Broadway performance last night, February 10, original Driving Miss Daisy star Morgan Freeman took in a production of the current Broadway show starring James Earl Jones. With the playwright at their side on stage at the Golden Theatre, producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy, will extend its Broadway premiere engagement through April 9, 2011, making it the only play this season that will be running into the spring. The play's three acclaimed stars, Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones, Vanessa Redgrave and Boyd Gaines, will all remain with the production. Directed by David Esbjornson, Driving Miss Daisy opened on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street) on October 25, 2010, where it has since broken all house records. The production was previously scheduled to run through January 29, 2011.
