San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 Season continues with Puccini's Tosca on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the San Diego Civic Theatre for four performances.

Conductor and composer Daniela Candillari makes her debut with the New York Philharmonic in their inaugural season inside the new David Geffen Hall on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 7:30pm. The concert, An Evening with Yo-Yo Ma, features the world-renowned cellist in Elgar's spellbinding Cello Concerto, in addition to Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 and Missy Mazzoli's River Rouge Transfiguration.

San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 Season continues with Puccini's Tosca on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the San Diego Civic Theatre for four performances. Additional performances are March 28, 31, and April 2 (matinee), 2023. All evening performances take place at 7:30 PM, matinees at 2 PM.

Verdi's epic opera Aida returns to the Metropolitan Opera stage for fifteen performances, from December 2, 2022, to April 27, 2023. The monumental production by Sonja Frisell makes its last appearance since premiering in 1988 at the Met, where it has played 240 times.

Hume Music Director Eun Sun Kim conducts the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Chorus and soloists in this powerful, 20th-century masterwork in the acclaimed production by French director Olivier Py. Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts announce will begin enforcement of size restrictions for all bags September 1, 2022. The policy prohibits any bags larger than 12”x12”x10”, with small wallets or clutches strongly recommended.

A new holiday experience will take place at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts this coming November and December. THE DESSERTERY, a family-friendly dessert café will feature elaborate holiday décor, all you can eat sweets and hot cocoa, plus live entertainment on select nights.

The Washington Chorus led by conductor and Artistic Director, Dr. Eugene Rogers has announced its 2022-2023 season. Featuring regional premieres and collaborations with regional arts organizations, the season kicks off on September 18th.

The season opens with the world premiere of El ultimó sueño de Frida y Diego, the Company debut of Puccini's Suor Angelica, the return of Gianni Schicchi after a fifty-two-year absence, and performances of the beloved warhorse Tosca. The dētour Series consists of the world premiere of three one-act operas by composer Nicolas Reveles for an evening entitled Ghosts, and The Falling and the Rising, an opera co-commissioned with the United States Army. 

Ukranian soprano Liudmyla Monastryska steps into the lead role at The Met Opera, playing Puccini’s icy princess in Turandot. Tenor Yonghoon Lee is Calàf, the suitor who risks his head for her hand and sings the famed aria “Nessun dorma.” Soprano Michelle Bradley is the slave girl Liù, and legendary bass Ferruccio Furlanetto is Calàf’s long-lost father, Timur.  Turandot comes to The Ridgefield Playhouse on the big screen in HD on Monday, October 14th at 2pm, part of the Classical Series underwritten by Jeanne Cook, Liz & Steven Goldstone, and Sabina & Walter Slavin, with support from Whistle Stop Bakery.  General Director Ken McConnell and Artistic Director Tobias Picker today announced Tulsa Opera’s 75th anniversary season, which opens October 28 & 30 with the company premiere of Rossini’s The Italian Girl (L’italiana in Algeri).

San Diego Opera's 2021 2022 will close with the West Coast Premiere of Aging Magician a hybrid opera/theatre piece that combines singing, choral work, puppetry, and performance art to create an incredibly unique theatrical experience.

Puccini's Tosca brings together three of opera’s most richly drawn characters—a glamorous opera singer, a revolutionary artist, and a sinister police chief—into a potboiler of doomed love, political intrigue, and murder, all powered by some of the most gripping and passionate music ever composed for the stage.

The Metropolitan Opera today announced its 2022–23 season, which features seven new productions, the most in ten seasons. Opening Night is September 27 with the company premiere of Cherubini’s Medea, starring soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role alongside tenor Matthew Polenzani in David McVicar’s new staging, conducted by Carlo Rizzi.
