Bloomington Theatre and Art Center (BTAC) today announced the tap dancing musical 42nd Street. This Bloomington Civic Theatre (BCT) production will run August 17 – September 16, 2012. 42nd Street will be directed and choreographed by Michael Matthew Ferrell, with music direction by Anita Ruth. The cast of 24 includes Larissa Gritti as ‘Peggy’, C. Ryan Shipley as ‘Billy’, Michael Fischetti as ‘Julian Marsh’, and Bonnie Erickson as ‘Dorothy Brock’. (more...)

The show follows him over a 60-year period period from the late 1880s until 1937. Beginning with his childhood in Rhode Island on the vaudeville circuit with his parents and sister as "The Four Cohans," to New York, where he starts his 25-year absolute reign of the Broadway stage. Casting was announced today for the upcoming U.S. tour of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, WAR HORSE. The company, comprised of more than 30 performers, includes Andrew Veenstra as Albert Narracott, Brian Keane as Arthur Narracott, Michael Wyatt Cox as Billy Narracott, Todd Cerveris as Ted Narracott, Angela Reed as Rose Narracott, Jason Loughlin as Lieutenant James Nicholls, and Jason Alan Carvell as Private Schnabel. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre presents the final show of its 2011/12 season Hello, Dolly! through April 1, directed by Tony®-nominated director and choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge and starring Broadway veteran Vicki Lewis and Tony® winner Gary Beach. Composer and lyricist Jerry Herman was in the audience at last night's show.
