ONCE Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

This past weekend the cast of the Grammy award and eight time Tony award-winning Dublin based musical Once joined together to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. On stage in the show's fully functioning bar at the Phoenix Theatre in the West End proved to be the ideal setting for their celebrations. Following a sold out run at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Once began previews in London on Saturday night in front of a full house where the show received a standing ovation. (more...)

John Tiffany's production of Once, winner of eight 2012 Tony awards including Best New Musical, will open in the West End in Spring 2013. With book by award-winning Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh, the London production of Once will open at the Phoenix Theatre on 9 April, with previews from 16 March 2013. Currently booking to 30 November 2013, Once will be produced in the West End by Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, Orin Wolf and Michael Rose Limited in association with New York Theatre Workshop. Prior to its West End opening Once will run at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin from 22 February - 9 March 2013. As London gets ready to welcome the world to the 2012 Olympic Games, Edward Hall's five star production of Chariots of Fire opens (3 July 2012) at the West End's Gielgud Theatre following its critically acclaimed sell-out run at Hampstead Theatre. Inspired by Colin Welland's original screenplay, award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett's new adaptation is based on the true story of Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams' inspirational tale of hope, honour and belief.
