Theater Talk to Make 2012 Tony Predictions on 5/25

THEATER TALK® presents its annual Tony® Awards predictions with favored panelists Patrick Pacheco of the Los Angeles Times, Michael Musto of The Village Voice, and Jesse Green of New York magazine joining series co-hosts Michael Riedel of the New York Post and producer Susan Haskins for a lively session of agreement and dissension. Tony Predictions 2012 premieres Friday, May 25 (2012) at 1 AM on Thirteen, followed by airings on CUNY TV* Saturday 5/26 (8:30 PM), Sunday 5/27 (12:30 PM) and Monday 5/21 (7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM). Tom Hanks to Make Broadway Debut in LUCKY GUY in January

Tom Hanks will make his Broadway Debut in LUCKY GUY by Nora Ephron, according to Michael Riedel of the New York Post. The play, previously titled Stories About McAlary, centers on the life of the late New York Post and Daily News columnist Mike McAlary. A full production of the revised script directed by George C. Wolfe is slated for a limited run at the Shubrt theater in January. ( more...)

THE KING & I Starring Kelli O'Hara Headed to Lincoln Center?

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that Lincoln Center Theater "wants the Beaumont for its next big production a revival of THE KING AND I starring Kelli OHara." BroadwayWorld.com first reported back in 2011 that the theatre was considering a Bartlett Sher helmed revival of the classic show. O'Hara is currently starring opposite Matthew Broderick in NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT.

Judi Dench Signs Up for John Logan Play in The West End - Bway in 2013?

Dame Judi Dench has signed up to act in the West End once more this fall in a new play by John Logan. British actor Ben Whishaw is also slated for the cast, while Michael Grandage will direct. David Zwirne to Participate in Art Cologne, 4/18-22

David Zwirner will participate in this years Art Cologne (Hall 11.3, Aisle B-018) to be held at the Cologne Exhibition Center (Koelnmesse).
David Zwirner will be showing a range of work, with a focus on German artists, including gallery artists Isa Genzken, Neo Rauch, Daniel Richter, and Thomas Ruff. The Frankfurt-based artist Michael Riedel will be in attendance and debut new works: a continuation of his Poster Paintings and Powerpoint Paintings in the medium of silkscreens on honeycomb panels.
