Actor and playwright, Rory Kinnear (National Theatre, RSC, James Bond franchise) will present the 2018 Society for Theatre Research Theatre Book Prize at a ceremony at the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Thursday 21st June. Currently playing the role of Macbeth at the National Theatre, Kinnear has won and been nominated for multiple awards including an Olivier, two Evening Standard Awards and a British Independent Film Award.

Celebrating outstanding Australian choreographic talent bursting from within the ranks of The Australian Ballet, Verve brings together three high-octane ballets created by past and present company dancers. Two landmark works by The Australian Ballet resident choreographers Tim Harbour and Stephen Baynes, and the world premiere of a new work by Coryphee Alice Topp will showcase The Australian Ballet's artistry and athleticism. The contemporary triple bill Verve will catapult onto the stage exclusively in Melbourne from 21 to 30 June.

Jeremiah and Vanessa Gamble, the creative team behind Kingdom Undone, and 'Til Death: A Marriage Musical, present their newest labor of love, Sam's Son, a Prohibition-era Americana musical loosely inspired by the biblical story of Samson. While this musical is not that story specifically, it is inspired by themes in the original story- purity, hypocrisy, judgment, and liberation. Jeremiah says, "I saw that the Prohibition era echoed those same themes and has striking parallels with our country today."

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, The City of Thousand Oaks Cultural Affairs Commission will honor Michael Pearce, Tish Greenwood, Edward Francis, and Young Artists Ensemble for their work in the arts. The event will take place at 7:00pm in the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre, at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks, CA 91362. The free event will be followed by a light reception. The Excellence in the Arts Awards are designed to honor and celebrate persons and organizations which contribute to the vibrancy of the arts and culture and increase access to arts experiences in Thousand Oaks. Also presented that evening, and still to be announced, is The Mayor's Award, granted to a recipient chosen at the discretion of the current Mayor of Thousand Oaks, Claudia Bill de-la Pena.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today it will be presenting three productions by The Daniel Group at the New Century Theatre (street level of City Center, 615 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) including Triple Espresso - a highly caffeinated comedy, which moves from its 21-year home at the Music Box Theatre. Also included are That Wonder Boy and To Begin With. All three shows are produced by the Minneapolis-based Daniel Group, whose mission is to provide top-quality, professional theater and entertainment with wholesome productions that positively impact audiences.

SAG-AFTRA mourns the passing of former Screen Actors Guild President Anna Patty Duke Pearce, better known as Patty Duke. Duke was elected president in 1985, becoming the second female president of the union. Duke was an Oscar and Emmy-winning actor, labor activist, and pioneering advocate for mental health issues. She was 69.
