The Fugitive Kind (Michael Page, Artistic Director, Laura Caufield & Susan Molloy, Producers), in association with the Barrow Street Theatre, Burton T. Frey Jr., and Heather Levine, will present a new solo show, Gay Blues, by Matthew Cleaver for three performances only: July 2nd & 3rd at 10:00 p.m. and July 5th at 7:30 p.m. at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street)

23rd Annual 2009 MAC Award Winners Announced

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

The Frankophile by Melissa Gawlowski Directed by Michael Page The story follows Alceste, the infamous misanthrope, who left his place in Moli?re's play in search of a world up to his standards. After four centuries of refusing change and running from play to play, he is confronted by Moli?re, returned from the dead and hell-bent on rewriting him entirely. Faced with the deadline of his life, Alceste must swallow his pride, face his past, and discover whether even stock characters have the power to change.
