The Institute for American Musical Theatre (IAMT) has just announced the appointment of Charles (Charlie) Rodriguez Sutton as the new Head of Dance. Sutton, who boasts over 20 years of experience across the performing arts ecosystem, has originated roles in 11 Broadway Musicals.
Cassie Donegan, this year’s Miss America, is launching a full-tuition scholarship to the IAMT Summer Intensive beginning this year. The scholarship will be awarded annually to one lucky student of Donegan’s choosing.
Reed Luplau Works will premiere How Will I Remember This at IAMT Theater in New York City. The new dance narrative features original music by Javier Dunn. The limited engagement will run for three performances.

After only 5 years in business, IAMT is expanding. This fall, NYC’s most exciting musical theatre program will be moving into their second space in Washington Heights- a 5000 sq. ft. acting school. This space will be dedicated to acting technique class, Film & TV class, along with presenting new musicals from both the IAMT New Works Series and the IAMT Creators program.
Additional details have been announced for the one-night only, bi-coastal livestream jamfest Rock of Ages: All-Star Reunion Concert tomorrow night, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 8:00PM ET.
